About Position

As technical writer, you will be responsible for testing and delivering customer documentation for Paidy’s services, including helping to build out the HTML documentation with sample code, tutorials, quick-start guides, etc. You will also be the owner for engineering-wide documentation such as processes and use cases.

 

Key Role and Responsibilities

● Deliver high-quality documentation that helps external developers integrate Paidy’s services.
● Work closely with Engineering teams to gather information, ensure documentation is accurate and complete, create code samples, and coordinate its translation and publication.
● Create and maintain internal technical documentation for Engineering teams, such as process documentation and technical specifications.
● Work with the Technical Account Managers to create and edit API documentation for merchants, and to answer merchants’ queries quickly and clearly.
● Act as a liaison between Engineering and the other teams at Paidy, documenting the high-level requirements for feature requests, identifying risks, and documenting use cases.
● Assist the Product team with writing user stories and product documentation.

 

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications include: 
● Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or equivalent experience
● JLPT N1 or equivalent
● Native-level English
● 2-5 years of experience writing documentation
● Ability to write consistent, maintainable, high-quality documentation for a technical audience
● Ability to work and learn independently
● Ability to communicate efficiently in cross-functional teams

Nice to have: 
● Experience with REST API documentation solutions
● Experience working in FinTech industry
● Familiarity with JSON, HTML, and markup language
● Experience with Git and GitHub
● Experience with creating and editing graphics
